Description - Walking along the Roman wall

During a walk lasting just under two hours, discover the 5.5 km of this colossal structure built almost 2,000 years ago.

Explore Aventicum's largest monument on a captivating guided tour and discover its 5.5 km rampart, erected in the year 71 with 73 towers and four gates. A symbol of prestige rather than defence during the ‘Roman peace’, this rampart still impresses despite the looting it underwent in late Antiquity.
