Winding through the forests and pastures of this popular family resort in the Vaud Alps, this trail starting at Col des Mosses takes you through stunning, varied scenery, with a panoramic vista of the surrounding peaks as the highlight.
Situated in the heart of the Vaud Alps, between Pays-d’Enhaut, Gruyère and the Riviera, the Col des Mosses Nordic Ski Area Centre is set amidst spectacular scenery. With its snow-covered forests and meadows, this region offers a wide variety of stunning trails; cross-country skiing reigns supreme here.
The trail starts at the Nordic Ski Area Centre, then takes you along an undulating trail through a magical landscape of snow-covered forests, rivers and bridges to «Fond de l’Hongrin». Then it’s time to attack the climb through the Carro forest to the “Lioson d’Enbas” plateau. This long, gentle, steady climb will be rewarded by a wide panoramic view as you emerge from the forest. Soak up the views as you wind your way up to the famous Pic Chaussy, then ski back to the starting point.
