From 10 to 14 August, the 30th Rock Oz'Arènes festival will take place to the delight of music lovers of all styles. This festival takes place in the famous Roman amphitheatre of Avenches.
Thirty years ago, the Rock Oz'Arènes festival, the smallest of the big festivals and renowned throughout Switzerland today, was a pioneer in organising a musical event in the Roman amphitheatre of Avenches. The beauty of the historic site, its arrangement and acoustics – not to mention the convivial atmosphere – have made this event an essential part of the summer in the canton of Vaud.
The Roman amphitheatre will resonate with sound from 10 to 14 August 2022 for the 30th edition of the Rock Oz’Arènes festival. To open the festival on Wednesday 10 August, the Swiss band Worry Blast will kick off followed by the legendary London rock band Status Quo. The festival atmosphere will be ramped up in the amphitheatre on Thursday, 11 August with GIMS, and the much anticipated Electroz’Arènes evening will be held on Friday, 12 August with the best DJs for a special 30th anniversary party. Finally, festival-goers can look forward to a surprise event on Saturday, 13 August.
Tickets are priced at CHF 69 per evening, except for the opening night which costs CHF 75. A 3-day pass is also available from CHF 130 for the evenings of 10, 11 and 13 August.
