Congress centres
As a land of innovation, the Lake Geneva Region has three convention centres equipped with the latest technology. Major corporations and respected scientists frequently hold conferences and prestigious events in Lausanne and the Montreux Riviera. Apart from these large centres, there are multi-purpose facilities on offer throughout the region.
The three convention centres in the Canton of Vaud are MCH Beaulieu Lausanne, the Swiss Tech Convention Center in Lausanne and the Montreux Music & Convention Centre (2m2c). As one of the largest convention centres in French-speaking Switzerland, MCH Beaulieu Lausanne provides space for nearly 5,000 people and has an exhibition area of more than 50,000 square metres for fairs and exhibitions. The Swiss Tech Convention Center, which was recently opened on the campus of EPFL (Federal Institute of Technology), is the most modern of its kind in Europe. Known as the nerve centre of the famous Montreux Jazz Festival, the 2m2c hosts concerts, exhibitions and fairs of international scope on the shores of Lake Geneva.
