Every year around 5 September, Freddie Mercury's birthday, Freddie Days brings together fans from around the world in Montreux. Concerts, exhibitions, conferences, lake cruises with his former personal assistant and moments of sharing bring the artist's unique spirit back to life in the city where he spent precious moments of his life.
The festival and its programme are suitable for all ages: families, music lovers, long-time fans or those who are simply curious. Access to concerts and events is completely free, with no admission fee or reservation required.
The "Freddie Celebration Days" offers mostly concerts and workshops involving people who were close to Freddie Mercury. The success of the event is growing from year to year.
For the several hundred people, who come from the four corners of the world to meet and share their emotions, there could be no more symbolic or essential focal point than the statue of their idol, which perhaps calls to mind something Freddy Mercury often used to say: "If you want peace of mind, come to Montreux".
