Domaine des Moines above Villeneuve, a peaceful town at the easternmost tip of Lake Geneva, stretches over 13 acres and offers a splendid view of the lake and the Alps. Tasting packages as well as indoor and outdoor spaces offer visitors the opportunity to taste Serge Diserens’s wines.
Domaine des Moines in Villeneuve has been passed down from father to son since 1870. The current owner, Serge Diserens, cultivates the 13 acres of vineyards, vinifying and bottling a dozen vintages. A graduate of the university of Changins, Serge has created beautiful wines. One of them is Terra Solis Syrah, which a professional jury elected as the world’s best Syrah in 2016.
To share his passion and describe a vintner’s work throughout the year, Serge Diserens offers a package called “A vintner’s year”. It includes the tasting of three wines accompanied by terroir products and oenological explanations. The offer also includes a bottle of Chasselas per person. Visitors can also just opt for the tasting session and – weather permitting - having a picnic in one of the vintner's cabins in the vineyards. Upon entering the wine cellar, visitors are greeted by a kinetic sculpture on the topic of wine, which was created by the artist Pascal Bettex.
Several indoor spaces and a large covered terrace are available for private or professional group events. The estate team is receptive to visitors’ wishes and offers something for every budget.
