This easy loop through the Vaud countryside is based on the SuisseMobile route no. 475, ideal for family outings or electric bike rides.
Starting from Echallens, capital of the Gros-de-Vaud district, you first head towards Villars-le-Terroir, then Goumoens-la-Ville. You ride along farm tracks through fields of grain, rapeseed and corn.
Further on, you come to Saint-Barthélémy and its castle built in the 12th century. Shortly after Bioley-Orjulaz, there is a change of scenery: you pass through a woodland where the shade is welcome in summer.
A short climb through Etagnières takes you to the banks of the Talent, which will serve as the backdrop for the end of this loop. In the forest, the tarmac gives way to dirt, apart from a short stretch on the road to cross Malapalud.
Once back in Echallens, the Maison du Blé et du Pain welcomes you for a meal.
