A walk with superb views from the Roc de Veyges, the Nid d'Aigle, Crevasse and the Prafandaz plateau, through pastures, forests and typical hamlets, returning via the heights of Leysin and Crettaz.
A moderately difficult walk starting near the ice rink, then descending through the lower part of the village towards La Roulaz. The route continues towards the hamlet of Veyges, where the Roc de Veyges offers a magnificent view of the Rhône valley and Lake Geneva. The climb then continues to two other viewpoints: the Nid d'Aigle and the Crévasse, before reaching the Prafandaz plateau, which offers an exceptional panorama of Lake Geneva.
The path then crosses a pasture offering splendid views, particularly over the heights of Leysin. The descent is via Tresseleire and the Hôtel Fabiola, through the Esserts district. A charming grassy path (beware of horse riders) then leads to the hamlet of Crettaz. After crossing the cantonal road, the final section passes through a pleasant forest and takes you back to the starting point.
The route can be taken in either direction.
