The Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts de Lausanne (MCBA) has been putting art on the map in Switzerland since 1841. Located since 2019 in the heart of the Plateforme 10 arts district, it presents several temporary exhibitions each year, drawing on a rich collection of over 10,000 works, from the late 18th century to the present day.
Ducros, Gleyre, Steinlen, Vallotton, Soutter: these Vaud painters have made the reputation of the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Aarts (MCBA), both nationally and internationally. Their works make up a large part of the museum’s collection, which currently consists of almost 10,000 canvases.The MCBA organises a number of temporary exhibitions each year, each accompanied by a programme of cultural activities including events, guided tours and workshops for adults and children. Every first Saturday of the month, the museum opens its doors for free.
