At the Caveau des vignerons in Cully, in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Lavaux vineyard, around ten artisan winemakers offer their guests a chance to try a selection of about thirty wines. The winemakers take turns in serving the wines to visitors from Switzerland and all over the world in person.
On the shores of Lake Geneva, Cully is known for its musical events: Cully Classique and Cully Jazz Festival. During the jazz festival, the spotlight is on the Caveau des vignerons and all the town’s wine cellars. Thousands of visitors flock to listen to jazz virtuosos and sample the finest Lavaux wines.
From May to October, the Caveau des vignerons opens its doors from Thursday to Sunday, between 5 and 9 p.m. Bookings can also be made for groups of 20 to 60 people. Around ten winemakers take turns in serving a selection of around thirty wines, selected for their features characteristic of the vineyard terraces. The selection includes the finest white wines made from chasselas, Lavaux’s predominant grape variety.
And to prolong the experience, why not hop on board a CGN boat or the Lavaux Express train on wheels, two popular means of transport with wine tourism enthusiasts.
