Vineyard walk in Vully

A unique Swiss AOC vineyard straddling two cantons (Vaud and Fribourg), on the shores of Lac de Morat, Vully is a real jewel. Starting from Salavaux beach – the longest in Switzerland – follow the trail through the villages, enjoy some excellent wines and learn why Vully is the birthplace of Swiss aviation.

With its 150 hectares spread over two cantons (Vaud and Fribourg), Vully is the smallest vineyard in Switzerland and represents 1% of the country’s wine-growing area. Still, its wines have acquired a great reputation over the last few years. The AOC (designation of controlled origin) of Vully has already conquered many wine fans.
Three routes are available to you. Follow Viny along the “Chasselas” or “Pinot Noir” path or combine both on a longer walk. In Vully-les-Lacs, a gourmet walk is organised every third Sunday of July to highlight the wines and culinary specialities of the region.
This easy hike can be practised all year round. In winter the vineyards are dormant and regenerate themselves. In spring, they spring to life again, and in summer they turn green and grow to display lovely colours and grapes in autumn.
